Modernisation of the Čunovo hydropower plant

The Čunovo hydropower plant near Bratislava is part of the Gabčíkovo hydropower plant on the Danube and has been generating electricity from a renewable source since 1997. After more than 25 years of operation, Basler & Hofmann Slovakia prepared the feasibility study for the modernisation of the electrical and mechanical systems, to ensure the long­term efficiency and safety of the operation and to reduce the environmental footprint of the power plant.
